A real lesson,
at a real time.

Rising to Excellence: Key Stage 5 – A-Level Applied Maths (Statistics and Mechanics)

This focused and engaging KS5 Applied Maths class is designed for students aged 16-18 preparing for their A-Levels, with a focus on Statistics and Mechanics.

Exam Preparation: We guide students through the skills and formats required for A-Level Applied Maths, ensuring confidence in tackling exams. Statistics Mastery: Students develop expertise in data analysis, probability, hypothesis testing, and statistical modeling, applying these to real-world scenarios. Mechanics Proficiency: We explore forces, motion, equilibrium, and kinematics, connecting mechanical principles to practical contexts.

Lessons incorporate a variety of stimulating and interactive strategies:

Data-Driven Projects: Tasks like analyzing trends or designing experiments sharpen statistical thinking and application. Mechanics Challenges: Problems involving motion or structural design bring mechanical concepts to life and enhance problem-solving. Collaborative Analysis: Group discussions and peer reviews encourage students to articulate methods and refine their approaches.

This supportive environment fosters:

Exam Confidence: Students gain the knowledge and strategies to approach A-Level exams with assurance. Cross-Curricular Applications: Skills integrate with physics, economics, and other subjects, strengthening analytical proficiency across disciplines. Questions

Before you decide

How does the weekly subscription work?
You are charged £20.00 a week, 24 hours before each class, for as long as you stay in the group. There is no term to pay for up front and no joining fee — and nothing at all is taken until after your free first class.
How many students are in a class?
Never more than 10. The cap is what lets the tutor hear from every student every week rather than teaching at a screen full of names.
Is the first class really free?
Yes. Your first class on TutorTech is a free trial: you attend the full lesson, and the first weekly payment is only taken 24 hours before the second class. Cancel before then and nothing is charged. It is one free class per family, across classes and 1:1 tuition.
What happens if we miss a week?
Pause the subscription from your account more than 24 hours before the class and that week is not charged. Your place in the group is held while you are paused, and you resume from the same page when you are back.
How do I cancel?
Cancelling during the free trial costs nothing. After weekly payments have started, cancellation needs two weeks’ notice — the full terms are in the payment and cancellation policy linked from checkout.
How is a class different to a course?
A course is recorded, bought once and taken at your own pace. A class is live at a fixed time each week, paid weekly, with a tutor who can answer your child in the moment. Many families use both.
Who teaches it?
Thomas. Their identity and qualifications are checked by TutorTech before a class goes on sale, and their profile is linked from this page.
Where do I manage it later?
In your TutorTech account, under your classes — the next lesson, the join link, and the pause and resume controls are all there.

Sit in on a class before you pay anything.

One full lesson, free, with no commitment to a second week.
