TutorTech Payment and Cancellation Policy
Updated: 7 October 2026
Version: v2.5
This Policy explains how TutorTech handles payments, cancellations and refunds.
The rules are not exactly the same for every product, so please check the booking, listing or checkout before you pay. That is where we show the price, supplier, billing basis and any product-specific cancellation information.
1. How payments are processed
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers, including Stripe and other providers TutorTech may use from time to time. TutorTech does not store your full payment-card details.
Payments to Tutors or Educator Creators may use Stripe Connect or similar payout functionality.
2. Who is supplying what you buy?
The supplier depends on the product:
- · One-to-one Tutor Service - normally the independent Tutor, unless the booking says otherwise.
- · TutorTech Class - TutorTech Ltd.
- · Resource - normally the Tutor seller, unless the listing says otherwise.
- · Course - the supplier shown on the product page and checkout.
- · Channel - the supplier shown on the product page and checkout.
The supplier matters because they are responsible for the service or content they supply. TutorTech remains responsible for its own platform services and TutorTech-provided Classes.
3. One-to-one lessons and TutorTech Classes
The payment timing and cancellation window for a scheduled lesson or Class will be shown before you book.
If a paid lesson or Class is not delivered, or a material TutorTech platform failure prevents delivery, you will receive any remedy required by the applicable contract and law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a replacement, credit or refund.
4. Resources and one-off Courses
Digital Resources and Courses may be available immediately after payment.
Where the law requires it, we will ask you to expressly request immediate supply during a statutory cancellation period and acknowledge any effect this has on your cancellation right before the digital content is supplied.
This does not affect your statutory rights if digital content is faulty, inaccessible or materially different from what was described.
5. Channel subscriptions
Recurring payments
The recurring price and billing frequency are shown before you subscribe. Your chosen payment method is charged automatically at each renewal until your cancellation takes effect.
Cancelling a Channel
You can cancel a Channel at any time using the account cancellation control or another method stated at checkout.
Unless mandatory law or the checkout says otherwise, cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
If a renewal payment fails
If a renewal payment fails, TutorTech may retry the payment where permitted and may suspend Channel access until payment is made. A failed payment does not give TutorTech permission to create a new contract with you on different terms.
6. When refunds or other remedies may apply
We want the position to be clear. Refunds are not automatic in every situation, but they will be provided where the law requires them.
A refund, replacement, credit, price reduction or other remedy may also be appropriate where:
- · a paid service or digital product is not provided as agreed;
- · there is a duplicate payment;
- · a material platform-access failure prevents you using something you paid for;
- · the product is materially misdescribed;
- · a substantiated infringement or safety issue means paid content has to be withdrawn.
For digital content supplied immediately, a change-of-mind refund may be limited where you validly requested immediate supply and acknowledged the effect on your cancellation rights.
For an active Channel, cancellation normally stops the next renewal rather than producing a pro-rata refund for the current paid period, unless the law requires otherwise or the supplier agrees otherwise.
7. Chargebacks, reversals and Tutor or Creator proceeds
If a payment is refunded, reversed, charged back or disputed, TutorTech may reverse, withhold or deduct the corresponding Tutor or Creator proceeds and related adjustments where this is allowed by the Tutor Agreement, accepted commercial terms and applicable law.
8. Platform fees and Creator payments
Tutor and Creator platform fees are governed by the Tutor Agreement, Resource Hub, Courses & Channels Terms & Conditions and any commercial terms accepted for the relevant feature.
The applicable fee should be shown before a Tutor lists content or activates a Creator revenue stream. We will not retrospectively change the fee on a completed transaction.
9. If you have a payment or refund problem
Please contact us so we can investigate the right issue quickly.

10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy for legal, regulatory, payment-provider or product reasons. Material changes affecting an active subscription or an existing purchase will be notified where required and will not remove rights you have already acquired.
