Description

A real lesson,
at a real time.

This GCSE Combined Science study group is designed to support students throughout the school year and help them feel fully prepared for their final exams.

The group covers the key areas of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with a strong focus on understanding concepts, applying knowledge and developing the exam skills needed to succeed.

Throughout the year, sessions will include:

  • 📚 Learning and reviewing key GCSE topics
  • 🧠 Breaking down difficult concepts into clear, manageable explanations
  • ✏️ Exam-style questions and guided practice
  • 📝 Past-paper questions and exam technique
  • 🔬 Required practicals and practical-based questions
  • 🎯 Identifying common mistakes and improving answers
  • 🔄 Regular revision and retrieval of previously studied topics
  • ⏱️ Timed practice to build exam confidence
  • 💡 Tips for remembering key facts, equations and processes
  • 📈 Tracking progress and identifying areas that need further revision

As the exams approach, the focus will increasingly shift towards targeted revision, past papers, exam technique and preparation for each paper, helping students consolidate their knowledge and approach their exams with greater confidence.

The aim is to provide a supportive environment where students can ask questions, practise regularly and steadily build their understanding across the whole GCSE Combined Science course.

Questions

Before you decide

How does the weekly subscription work?
You are charged £20.00 a week, 24 hours before each class, for as long as you stay in the group. There is no term to pay for up front and no joining fee — and nothing at all is taken until after your free first class.
How many students are in a class?
Never more than 8. The cap is what lets the tutor hear from every student every week rather than teaching at a screen full of names.
Is the first class really free?
Yes. Your first class on TutorTech is a free trial: you attend the full lesson, and the first weekly payment is only taken 24 hours before the second class. Cancel before then and nothing is charged. It is one free class per family, across classes and 1:1 tuition.
What happens if we miss a week?
Pause the subscription from your account more than 24 hours before the class and that week is not charged. Your place in the group is held while you are paused, and you resume from the same page when you are back.
How do I cancel?
Cancelling during the free trial costs nothing. After weekly payments have started, cancellation needs two weeks’ notice — the full terms are in the payment and cancellation policy linked from checkout.
How is a class different to a course?
A course is recorded, bought once and taken at your own pace. A class is live at a fixed time each week, paid weekly, with a tutor who can answer your child in the moment. Many families use both.
Who teaches it?
Mels. Their identity and qualifications are checked by TutorTech before a class goes on sale, and their profile is linked from this page.
Where do I manage it later?
In your TutorTech account, under your classes — the next lesson, the join link, and the pause and resume controls are all there.

Sit in on a class before you pay anything.

One full lesson, free, with no commitment to a second week.
