TutorTech Affiliate Code of Conduct

Welcome to TutorTech.

This Code explains the standards we expect from people registered as TutorTech Affiliates. It sits alongside the User Code of Conduct and the other TutorTech terms that apply to your activity.

The aim is simple: promote TutorTech accurately, respectfully and responsibly.

1. Our core values

  • ·       Respect - treat people with dignity and courtesy.
  • ·       Honesty - be truthful and transparent in what you say and promote.
  • ·       Integrity - do not use misleading, manipulative or dishonest practices.
  • ·       Collaboration - support a positive learning environment for learners, educators and families.

2. Be kind and respectful

  • ·       Use professional and constructive language. Do not use insults, threats, harassment or offensive language.
  • ·       Do not discriminate on the basis of protected or personal characteristics.
  • ·       Respect privacy and do not share personal information without a lawful reason or appropriate permission.

3. Use TutorTech responsibly

  • ·       Share only content that is relevant, appropriate and lawful.
  • ·       Respect TutorTech's intellectual property and the rights of educators, publishers and other third parties.
  • ·       Do not promote cheating, plagiarism or other academic dishonesty.

4. Promote TutorTech accurately

Affiliates must comply with applicable advertising and marketing rules and must not create a misleading impression of TutorTech, its Tutors or its products.

In particular, do not:

  • ·       describe independent Tutors or overseas contractors as TutorTech employees, staff or agents unless that is actually correct;
  • ·       say or imply that TutorTech sets the price, availability or lesson content of independent one-to-one Tutor Services where the Tutor controls those matters;
  • ·       make claims about Tutor Services that conflict with the Tutor's published profile, listing or TutorTech terms;
  • ·       use safeguarding, qualification or background-check claims that are broader than TutorTech's published wording or the individual educator's verified status.

5. Resource Hub, Courses and Channels

If you promote a Resource, Course or Channel, your description must match the relevant listing and TutorTech terms.

Do not:

  • ·       overstate content quality, educational outcomes or Creator earnings;
  • ·       promise Course outcomes or Channel release frequencies that are not stated by TutorTech or the relevant listing;
  • ·       misstate subscription benefits, cancellation rights, refunds, licensing or availability;
  • ·       describe a recurring Channel subscription as a one-off purchase or hide a recurring charge.

6. Financial promotions

Do not communicate an invitation or inducement to acquire shares, equity or financial instruments in TutorTech or an associated entity unless TutorTech has expressly approved that activity and wording in writing.

7. AI content and Educator IP Programme claims

Do not overstate the accuracy, curriculum alignment or examination suitability of AI-generated or AI-assisted content.

Do not make unapproved claims about Educator IP Programme earnings, LLM sublicensing revenue, AI licensing partners, dataset opportunities, future revenue share, platform valuation or investor returns.

Do not imply that Educator IP Programme participation guarantees income, that AI/LLM licensing opportunities are confirmed, or that TutorTech has entered into third-party licensing arrangements unless TutorTech has expressly authorised that statement.

Do not link Educator IP Programme participation to investment status, Founder 50 status, shareholding, governance role or eligibility for SEIS/EIS relief.

8. Activities that are not allowed

  • ·       hate speech, bullying, harassment or threats;
  • ·       sharing personal information about other people without consent or another lawful basis;
  • ·       spam or unsolicited commercial messages that do not comply with applicable law and TutorTech rules;
  • ·       illegal or offensive content;
  • ·       cheating, plagiarism or academic dishonesty;
  • ·       impersonating another user;
  • ·       attempting to hack, disrupt or misuse TutorTech Services;
  • ·       using TutorTech for an illegal or unauthorised purpose.

9. Reporting a problem

If you see a possible breach of this Code, report it promptly through an available TutorTech reporting route, including legal@tutortech.co.uk, the website contact form or an in-platform reporting feature where available.

10. What may happen if this Code is broken

Depending on the seriousness of the issue, TutorTech may give a warning, restrict or suspend Affiliate activity, suspend or terminate an account, or report a matter to law enforcement or another authority where appropriate.

11. Other terms that apply

This Code works alongside the TutorTech Terms of Service, Data Privacy Policy, User Code of Conduct, Resource Hub, Courses & Channels Terms & Conditions, Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy, Safeguarding Policy and any applicable campaign, referral or Affiliate commercial terms.
