TutorTech Affiliate Code of Conduct

Welcome to TutorTech! We're committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment for everyone. This Affiliate Code of Conduct ("Code") outlines the expected behaviour for Affiliate users of our Services (website, learning platform, mobile apps, etc.). By using our Services, you agree to abide by the terms of this Code.

This Code applies only to users registered as Affiliates and supplements the User Code of Conduct.

1. Core Values

Our community thrives on these core values:

  • Respect: Treat all users with dignity and courtesy, regardless of background, beliefs, or experience level.
  • Honesty: Be truthful and transparent in your interactions and activities on the platform.
  • Integrity: Uphold high ethical standards and avoid any behaviour that could be considered dishonest or misleading.
  • Collaboration: Work together to create a positive learning environment that fosters growth and success.

2. Be Kind and Respectful

  • Communication: Engage in professional and constructive communication. Avoid offensive language, insults, threats, or harassment.
  • Diversity: Embrace our diverse community and avoid any form of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or ability.
  • Privacy: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information about other users without their consent.

3. Responsible Use of the Platform

  • Content: Share only content that is relevant, appropriate, and aligned with our academic goals. Avoid posting illegal or offensive material.
  • Intellectual Property: Respect the intellectual property rights of TutorTech and others. Do not share copyrighted materials without permission.
  • Academic Integrity: Engage in honest learning practices. Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited.

4. Specific User Expectations

a) Affiliates:

  • Promote TutorTech accurately and ethically, adhering to all marketing and advertising regulations.

Affiliates must not:

  • Represent Tutors as employees, staff, or agents of TutorTech.
  • State or imply that TutorTech sets tutor pricing, availability, or lesson content.
  • Make claims about tutoring services that are inconsistent with published Tutor profiles.

5. Marketplace Conduct

Affiliates must not make claims about Marketplace content quality, seller earnings, buyer outcomes or content licensing that are inconsistent with TutorTech's published Marketplace Terms or Copyright / IP Policy.

6. Financial Promotions

Affiliates must not communicate any invitation or inducement to acquire shares, equity, or financial instruments in TutorTech or any associated entity. Any reference to TutorTech's equity or share programmes must be approved in writing by TutorTech before publication or distribution.

7. AI Content

Affiliates must not make claims about AI-generated or AI-assisted content that overstate its accuracy, curriculum alignment or examination suitability.

7.1 Educator IP Programme and AI Licensing Claims

Affiliates must not make claims about Educator IP Programme earnings, LLM sublicensing revenue, AI licensing partners, dataset opportunities, future revenue share, platform valuation or investor returns unless TutorTech has expressly approved the wording in writing.

Affiliates must not imply that participation in the Educator IP Programme is guaranteed to generate income, that AI/LLM licensing opportunities are confirmed, or that TutorTech has entered into third-party AI/LLM licensing arrangements unless TutorTech has expressly authorised that statement.

Affiliates must not link Educator IP Programme participation to investment status, Founder 50 status, shareholding, governance role or eligibility for SEIS/EIS relief.

8. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly forbidden:

 Hate speech, bullying, harassment, or threats.

  • Sharing personal information about others without consent.
  • Spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or advertising.
  • Posting illegal or offensive content.
  • Cheating, plagiarism, or academic dishonesty.
  • Impersonating another user.
  • Attempting to hack or disrupt the Services.
  • Using the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.

9. Reporting Violations

If you witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately through the following methods:

  • Contact form on our website
  • Reporting feature within the platform (if available)

We take all reported violations seriously and will investigate them thoroughly.

10. Consequences of Violation

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including:

  • Warnings
  • Account suspension or termination
  • Reporting to law enforcement (in serious cases)

By following this Code of Conduct, you contribute to a positive learning environment for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation in making TutorTech a thriving community of learners and educators.

Alignment with Other Policies

This Affiliate Code of Conduct complements other TutorTech policies, including the Terms of Service, Data Privacy Policy, User Code of Conduct, Marketplace Terms, Copyright / IP Policy, Safeguarding Policy and any applicable Marketplace, AI-content or Educator IP Programme rules. These policies provide a more detailed framework for user behaviour, data privacy, safeguarding, intellectual property rights, marketplace activity and responsible communications.
